What is the best approach for companies with new business models to see their impact (IBM) recognised in the BIA?
Occasionally a company with an unique business model will not fall into one of the BIA's Impact Business Models. When this happens, it's important for the company to be conservative, while also thinking through if there is an IBM that, while not perfect, may fit them best. As a Global Partner you can utilize this course to assist with questions to ask them that will help with this thinking. When working with a Standards Analyst, the company's business model will be reviewed and determined if there is a fit for it. Sometimes this includes a review by the Review Team's internal decision team that reviews new business models and tough cases. After review they will determine the best pathway forward for the company as it relates to an IBM. If it is determined that there is not a fit within the BIA for their business model at the time, the company representative is encouraged to leave feedback in the BIA to ensure that in upcoming versions of the BIA it is considered.
